Water helps your metabolism function more efficiently, and can help reduce your appetite, reduce water retention and bloating, improve your digestion and elimination therefore combating constipation. It is essential for good thyroid health.
Try to avoid town/tap water as you want to be avoiding synthetic toxins like chlorine and fluoride, usually added to town water. I filter my tank water to make it more alkaline.
- You can purchase an alkaline water system, or dissolve 1/4 tsp. of baking soda in half glass of water and drink on an empty stomach – once in the morning and again before bedtime.
- If the taste of plain water doesn’t appeal, add a dash of chlorophyll (from you health food store), or lemon juice.
