Coconut Products – all (organic, preferable or at least sulphur-free) coconut products are especially good for your gut. The MCFA’s (medium chain fatty acids) in coconut are easier to digest than other fats so they work well in helping to repair a leaky gut.
The MCT in coconut also helps to convert the food we eat in energy instead of storing it for fat. Coconut contains about 20% MCT or you can buy straight MCT in oil form from you health food store. You’ll find it in the fridge.
Coconut kefir (a fermented food) contains probiotics that will be very beneficial to gut health also. Make you own or you’ll find it in your health food store also.
