Non Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease: The development of NAFLD is intimately entwined with obesity and diabetes. The most promising treatments for NAFLD are the correct diet, appropriate exercise and weight loss. Herb medicine is also very helpful as is appropriate vitamin supplementation.

Several drugs have been studied in the treatment of NAFLD, but there is little evidence that any drug is effective in slowing down the progression of this disease.

Many diseases are associated with NAFLD including Metabolic Syndrome, high blood pressure, cirhossis and diabetes.

NAFLD affects young children as well. It will eventually become the number one reason for liver transplantation if left untreated.
