TURMERIC. ‘Ginger, Turmeric + Mango Smoothie’.

From my latest book ‘Janella’s Super Natural Foods’. This is pretty yummy, and good to help bring down inflammation.

Makes 2
1 ripe banana (frozen is nice)
1/2 cup frozen mango chunks
1 cup orange juice, fresh is best
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 tbsp fresh grated ginger
1 tsp fresh turmeric, grated (or 1/2 tbsp ground if u can’t find)
1/4 cup coconut milk (or coconut water)
1/2 cup clean water

Method – Add the first 6 ingredients to a blender and whizz on high speed until smooth. Add the last 2 liquid ingredients and blitz again.

Options – serve with a sprinkling of chia seeds, and/or fresh of flaked
