Dukkah (Za’atar)

Dukkah, or Za’atar in Arabic is a blend of dried oregano and sesame seeds, (and sometimes sumac).

Mix it with olive oil and good salt and slather it on almost anything. The one pictured above is the real deal from Israel. Thanks Alicia and Yusuf for sharing it with me. (Yusuf’s mum makes it in Israel.) Wait and see what I’ve just done with it. OMGoodness! My idea of heaven on a plate. ‪

For the ‘Tahini, Roast Capsicum, Preserved Lemon and Dukkah Dip’ – use my Tahini Dressing recipe (on my website or Google) and add roast capsicum (from my garden), home made preserved lemon and za’atar. Tastes amazing! Why haven’t I done this before.
